Introduction
This article explains how to configure extendedReach to send documents to the Texas Provider Gateway (TPG). It covers setting up report and activity types for transmission, and configuring case records so an uploaded document is assigned to the correct case in TPG.
Prerequisites
This article assumes your agency has already configured extendedReach for an integration with TPG. If your system is not currently configured for a TPG integration, contact your Single Source Continuum Contractor (SSCC). Each SSCC is the lead contractor for a specific region in Texas, and TPG acts as the data exchange between foster care agencies and their SSCC. For more information, see the Texas Provider Gateway website and you can also reference some of our other support documentation about the Gateway.
Configuring Report and Activity Types
Edit the report or activity type for the documents you want to transmit. For report types, the path is Program Settings > Program Report Types (shown in the screenshot below); activity types are configured the same way, under Program Settings. If your system is configured for a TPG integration, a section labeled "Texas Provider Gateway (TPG)" appears at the bottom of the report or activity type form.
Relate the extendedReach type to the TPG document type
Select the TPG Document Type that matches the extendedReach activity or report type being edited. Once a TPG document type is defined for a given activity or report, a button labeled "Send to TPG" becomes available on the completed form. Clicking this button sends the document to TPG.
Report Record - Send to TPG Button
If attachments of type .doc, .docx, .jpg, .png, pdf, or .tiff are present on the form, extendedReach will attempt to upload those files to the Texas Provider Gateway. Attachments of all other types are ignored.
Automatically Send (Optional)
You can also enable the option "Automatically send to TPG on form completion," which automatically sends the document to TPG whenever the activity or report is marked complete. The "Send to TPG" button remains available if you need to resend the information.
Configuring Cases
The TPG Placement ID (PID) for each case must be added to the extendedReach case record to ensure the uploaded document is assigned to the correct case.

Enter the PID from the Texas Provider Gateway into the Referring Case # field on the case record in extendedReach. Without this number, extendedReach cannot send the document to TPG.
Match for the PID in extendedReach
You are now ready to use the TPG and extendedReach document interface. If you have questions or need troubleshooting assistance with this integration, email support@extendedreach.com.
