Respite Payment Options

When selecting “Respite (Unpaid)” as a placement type**, it will override the following payment options while that placement type is active:

  • Respite homes receive full amount after x days*
  • Respite and foster homes split amount (specified on rate sheet)*
  • Respite and foster home both receive full amount during respite (bill 1X)*

Meaning that when “Respite (Unpaid)” or “Short Term (Unpaid)” is selected, it will only pay the respite home during that placement period.
 
When “Respite (Paid)” is selected, it will pay the foster home (settings can be changed to pay respite home and foster home when selected).
 
To adjust how foster homes and respite homes are paid, go to Organization Settings -> Organization Preferences -> Settings. Scroll to the bottom where there is a drop-down that says, “How are respite/short term homes paid?”

** If the “Respite (Unpaid)” and “Respite (Paid)” options are unavailable for your agency, they can be added as a Placement Type under Program Settings -> Keywords, or you can contact support at support@extendedreach.com to make that change.

NOTE: “Respite and foster home both receive full amount during respite (bill 2X)” is only applicable in Georgia
