Introduction

This article is meant to assist you with configuring and using the Daily Activity / Report Summary (for cases and homes). Using the Daily Activity / Report Summary, you can visualize which activities and reports have been, or not been, completed or duplicated.

Enabling the Daily Activity Summary (cases and homes)

To start using this tracking tool, go to Organization Settings > Organization Preferences > Settings > Enable “System: Track daily activities for cases” and “System: Track daily activities for homes”.

Once enabled, an administrator can go to any staff's User ID (Organization Settings > User ID's) and enable the setting "Show Case Daily Activity Summary on workspace" or "Show Home Daily Activity Summary on workspace". Once enabled, the staff member will be able to see the daily activities for all of the cases / homes assigned to them (only when the House Parent workplace role is selected).

Adding Activities

Once those settings have been enabled, go to the program activity or home activity that you want to track. In the activity settings, select either the Daily activity (completed Sun-Sat) or the Daily Activity (completed Mon-Fri).

Note: when these setting are enabled, the due / expiration date will be removed. We don’t recommend repeating Daily Due dates because it quickly overwhelms tasks lists and becomes unmanageable.

Adding Reports

Similar to the configuration for daily activities, to track reports, go to the program report or home report settings.  In the report settings, select either the Daily activity (completed Sun-Sat) or the Daily Activity (completed Mon-Fri).

Utilizing the Daily Activity (and Report) Summary

Now you are ready to start tracking your daily tasks! To view the Daily Activity (and Report) Summary for cases, go to Case Tasks > Daily Activity Summary. For homes, go to Home Tasks > Daily Activity Summary.

To access them from your workspace, click on the "Case Daily Activity Summary" or "Home Daily Activity Summary" hyperlinks under the My Summary section.

Complete the activities and reports as you normally would, and watch as the colors on the Daily Activity Summary change! Click on the colored dots to go straight to the related activity or click on a white dot to create a new activity or report.

Green indicates the activity/report has been completed; yellow means there was a duplicate activity/report completed; red means the activity/report is currently a draft and has not been completed; white means the activity/report was not created.

You can also access last week and this weeks Daily Activity Summary through the Case File/Home File tab on the Case/Home.
